On September 26, 1999, Gladys Ricart was murdered on her wedding day by a former partner—a tragedy that forever changed countless lives. Refusing to let Gladys’s story end there, our Founder, Josie Ashton, put on a wedding gown and walked 1,900 miles in protest, inspiring The Brides’ March—an international movement dedicated to ending intimate , honoring survivors, supporting families, and helping communities build a future free from violence.
