10:30AM (Sharp) Walking Starts from Corner of 179th Street and Fort Washington
  1. Walk to and Turn South on Broadway, and Walk to 174th Street
  2. Turn Right on 174th and Walk through J Hood Wright Park to Haven and 173rd
  3. Stop for a Moment of Silence for Shirley and Ramona Elizabeth Rodriguez
  4. Walk to corner of 172nd and Turn Left to Broadway
  5. Resume walking on Broadway and 172 South to 155th Street
  6. Brief Stop on Broadway and 155th St. to Regroup in front of Boricua College (From 179th Street Approx. 1.5 mile to 155th Street)
  7. Resume Walking by Turning Left/East at 155 th Street and walk to 153 rd Street
    (0.8 miles)
  8. Brief Stop to Regroup in the Charles Young Triangle Park and 153rd Street
  9. Resume Walking across Macomb’s Dam Bridge into The Bronx
  10. Walk to and turn Right at 161st Street
  11. Brief Stop to Regroup on 161 st Street across from Yankee Stadium
  12. Resume walking on 161St. to Grand Concourse and turn Right. Walk pass the Bronx Supreme Court to 158St. Walk across 158St, walk across Grand Concourse, turn Right and walk on Grand Concourse to 780 Grand Concourse for a Moment of Silence for NYPD Transit Officer Arianna Reyes-Gomez. (10mins stop for moment of silence and to regroup)
  13. Continue walking. Turn back on Grand Concourse to 161st. Turn left, cross 161st going West on 161st.

Stopping at Lou Garrett Park on 161st and Watson Ave for approx. 35mins for speakers, lunch and water.

12:30 PM Sharp Walking Resumes

  1. Resume walking South on Grand Concourse
  2. Stop at 780 Grand Concourse for a Moment of Silence for Anthonella Contreras and NYPD Officer Arianna Reyes-Gomez
  3. Resume Walking on Grand Concourse to 149 th Street (Hostos Community College)
  4. Turn Left onto East 149th Street
  5. Brief Stop to Regroup on 149th Street and Morris Ave in front of Lincoln Hospital
  6. Resume walking on 149 th Street to Third Avenue
  7. Turn Right at and walk on Third Ave to 139th Street
  8. Turn Right at 139th Street, cross Morris Ave, turn Left and walk to 135th Street
  9. Brief Stop to Regroup at 135th Street
    (Approx. 1.7 miles from 161 st Bx)
  10. Resume walking across Third Ave Bridge, up & over the walkway, cross Lexington onto 129th Street
  11. Brief Stop to Regroup on 129th Street btwn Lexington & Park Ave
  12. Continue walking on West 129th Street to Park Ave, turn Left on Park Ave
  13. Walk South on Park Ave and turn Right to 125 th Street
  14. Walk on 125 th St. to the Adam Clayton Powell Jr. State Office Building Plaza on Adam Clayton Powell Jr. Boulevard
    (Approx. 1.4 miles from the 3 rd Ave Bridge to here)

Walking Resumes

  1. Resume walking by crossing 125 th at Adam Clayton Powell, turn Left back onto 125th
  2. Walk East on 125th St to Lexington Ave
  3. Brief Stop to Regroup on 125th Street and Park Ave
  4. Resume walking on 125th Street to Lexington Ave and Turn Right onto Lexington South on Lexington to 116th Street (From the State Building to here is approx. 0.7 miles)
  5. Brief Stop to Regroup on Lexington & 116th Street
  6. Resume walking on Lexington to 106th Street, and into the Julia de Burgos Cultural Center.

Total Walk: Approximately 7 miles

The 2026 Annual Gladys Ricart and victims of domestic violence memorial walk will end at the Julia de Burgos Cultural Arts Center, 1680 Lexington Ave, New York, NY 10029 (corner of 106th Street).

The Closing Ceremony is scheduled to begin at approx. 5PM and will conclude by 6 PM.

Once at the Julia de Burgos Center, the marchers will have approx. 20 minutes for a bathroom break, a hot meal and water before the Closing Ceremony begins at approx 5pm with tributes to victims and guest speakers.

*All Dresses on loan by the Brides’ March,  and our signs,  will be collected at the Closing.
